For an international travel provider that does not have access to security escorts, removals are required to be
arranged through the UK Border Force. Border Force in turn contact the Home Office escorting provider. The
contracted Home Office escorting provider will provide a quote to a carrier directly for their escorting services.
There is also no requirement for escorts to be provided within a specific timeframe therefore this may in turn
increase the additional daily detention cost charged by the Home Office. The daily detention cost applies from
the first date of removal through to completion of removal.
